COMPETITION RULES
ORGANIZER
Timisoara MASTERS Swimming Club
LOCATION
Location: Surduc lake (Lacul Surduc) is located between Traian Vuia and Fardea villages. Car access via the road Timisoara - Deva (E673 road). In Traian Vuia village, in front of the street board <Centrul de Studii Biblice administrat de catre Asociaţia “Precept Ministries Surduc-România”>, turn on the 681A road to Fârdea village. Google Maps Coordinates: 45.752979, 22.135258.
CONTEST
● Participants can sign up for one swimming race (short or long) or two (one short and one long);
● Long races (1.500 m, 3.000 m and 6.000 m) have the same start time. They are recommended only to people who regularly practice swimming and have already swimmed the distance;
● Each participant will receive a swimming cap;
● Start and finish of the races on the beach next to the cottage-restaurant.
● Swimming laps along buoys positioned in a straight line.
● Each participant will swim freely, no specific swimming style is compulsory;
● Maximum swimming time: 30 min. for 500 m, 1 h for 1.500 m, 2 h for 3.000 m and 3 h for 6.000 m.
● Participants who do not meet the race deadline will be disqualified;
● Rankings of each race is based on personal swimming times, organized by gender and age groups (see below);
● Participants swimming with water support materials will not enter the rankings;
● If the water temperature is over 24*C, participants are not allowed to swim with neoprene equipment;
● Lifeguards in kayaks and boats;
● 6 km race is part of the GRAND PRIX INTERNATIONAL CUP.
SCHEDULE:
Date: August 31, 2019 (Saturday)
9.00: reception of the participants and payment of the start-up fee up to 10,00,
10.00: opening ceremony,
10.15: preparation for start,
10.30: start of the 500 m race
11.00 start of the 1.5, 3 and 6 km races
13.00: award ceremony (timming upon arrival of the swimmers)
Note: time zone in Romania is +1 hour comparred to Central European (CE) time zone (so +1 hour compared to Hungarian and Serbian time zone).

RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE
All registered competitors.
Each competitor starts at his own responsibility and at his own expense.
For swimmers younger than 18 years: permission from the parent or tutor is required.

Deadline for discounted registration is August 28, 2019.
Registration on the spot is possible on the day of the race, no later than 10:00 a.m. and without discounted fees.
AWARDS
• each participant receives a swimming cap, water and a cereal bar.
• each participant receives the participation diploma (available online for downloading after the competition)
• all the participants in the long races also receive the t-shirt of the event
• medals will be awarded to the overall top 3 swimmers: female and male
REGISTRATION FEE:
For registrations made until 28.08.2019, the participation fee for the competition is 6 euro/person for the short race, 10 euro/person for a long race and 13 euro/person for participation in two races (the short one and a long one).
For registrations after 28.08.2019, the participation fee for the competition is 9 euro/person for the short race, 15 euro/person for a long race and 20 euro/person for participation in two races (the short one and a long one).
The fee must be paid at the secretariat of the event between 9.00 and 10.00;
